Tell us about your work---what do you do? I work for the consulting group of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC), the leading professional services firm to develop , design , & implement business solutions that add value to an organization through either process, strategy , & technology improvements. Currently my focus is on developing eMarket Hub solutions for our clients. What skills are needed? A solid combination of people , technical , and business skills. What was your major? BS in Business Administration -- Finance and MBA -- International Business . How did you get started in your career? Worked for a variety of different companies in different industries including: Chemical , Oil , and Financial Services. What experience do you need in this job? You need to be able to work with people from all levels in an organization. PwC offers undergraduates all the technical skills, business skills, & project management skills through the training program offered to all incoming undergraduates. Describe your "typical" workday: Every day is different. Every assignment poses a different challenge, scope, risk & opportunity. What is the hardest aspect of your job? Keeping my skills current on the changing technology & being able to stay abreast of the software vendor landscape. What is the most rewarding aspect of your job? The PwC people I work with on projects are the finest caliber of folks I have ever been associated with. I have truly enjoyed the opportunity to work with the best and the brightest minds in consulting. What are your suggestions for someone considering this field? Learn business processes & develop knowledge on how technology can impact a business.
